Battery Practice

<p>A 15-inch Rodman gun in a temporary emplacement at Battery Rodgers, Alexandria, Virginia, during the Civil War. The same type of artillery was used at Fort Slocum in the 1890s in a similar emplacement (National Archives digital collections).</p>
